First Aid Kit for Family Camping: What I Actually Put In It
Bandages, blister care, kids’ meds I already use, tweezers. I do not buy a 400-piece kit I cannot find a wipe in.

Field notes — I write these in first person, from how I actually pack. Photos go in when I have them.
Photo slot — A small kit open on a picnic table: the real contents. I will drop a picture in when I have one that is not a stock shot.
I build from what we already take at home
Kids’ pain reliever. Allergy stuff we already use. Bandages they will actually wear. Tweezers. Antiseptic. A few pairs of gloves. Electrolytes if heat is the forecast.
The giant kit looks prepared and then I cannot find the one wipe. I want a pouch I will unzip.
Blisters and ticks do more work than trauma shears
Moleskin or tape. A tick plan. I know where the urgent care is before I need it. That is first aid too.
Quick answers
Is this a complete packing list?
No. This is what I actually do for this situation. Use a full checklist for the boring essentials, then add or subtract from this note.
