Field notes — I write these in first person, from how I actually pack. Photos go in when I have them.

Photo slot — A pocket Anker next to a Jackery 300 — size difference is the point. I will drop a picture in when I have one that is not a stock shot.

A 5–20K brick is camping

I keep one in the daypack. It recharges a phone. It is not a Starlink battery. Casual campers can stop here.

I pre-charge at home. I do not leave lithium packs in a hot closed car.

A 300Wh station is movie night

Jackery 300 or EcoFlow RIVER 2 class: AC outlet, USB-C, enough for a projector evening or a short Starlink session. Not a weekend of air conditioning.

A 1000Wh suitcase is the ‘I brought the glamping pile’ battery. Useful. Not required to camp.

Quick answers

Is this a complete packing list?

No. This is what I actually do for this situation. Use a full checklist for the boring essentials, then add or subtract from this note.
