Portable Projector Camping Movie Night: How I Actually Run It
A projector is glamping. I start after dark, I use a laptop or downloaded files, and I size the battery to the lens.
Field notes — I write these in first person, from how I actually pack. Photos go in when I have them.
This is optional and I say so
A disc and UNO are camping. A soda-can projector on a sheet is glamping. I bring it when the group wants a night. I do not tell beginners they need one.
I start after civil twilight. Projectors look weak at dusk. I keep the speaker neighbor-friendly or I use headphones for kids.
The source is the part people forget
Laptop HDMI just works. A USB Blu-ray drive on a laptop plays discs I already own. A Switch can HDMI if I downloaded games. Streaming needs a hotspot, park WiFi I should not trust, or Starlink.
A light-colored sheet is a screen. A tripod screen is nicer and bulkier. I only take it if the trunk still has room for food.

Quick answers
Is this a complete packing list?
No. This is what I actually do for this situation. Use a full checklist for the boring essentials, then add or subtract from this note.
