Snow Peak Titanium vs Aluminum Cookware: When I Splurge
I buy Snow Peak titanium when I carry the pot every weekend. For casual car camp I use cheap metal I can beat up.
Field notes — I write these in first person, from how I actually pack. Photos go in when I have them.
I am partial to Snow Peak. I still do not pretend everyone needs it.
Trek 1400 is the set I like carrying: pot plus lid that works as a pan. Trek 900 if I cook for one. The mug that can sit on a stove is the cheap way to try the brand.
Titanium is light and tough and it scratches and it conducts heat fast. I use a cloth. I do not throw it in a bin with a hatchet.
Casual car camp can stay cheap
Aluminum or steel I can replace when it gets ugly. Splurge if the pot walks with me. That is the rule I actually use.

Quick answers
Is this a complete packing list?
No. This is what I actually do for this situation. Use a full checklist for the boring essentials, then add or subtract from this note.
